Until I created this product, I would get poison ivy five times a year; even in Michigan Februaries. I'd get it bad. As an adult I learned to go to the hospital and get a shot. There was a product on the shelves filled with chemicals called Technu and now there is one called Dembro. The shot is the fastest. All are more chemical pharmaceuticals than I ingest the rest of the year combined.
I have tested this product on over 100 cases and people including newborns and toddlers. Every one of them had miraculous recoveries. I have raced its efficacy against The Shot with a fellow forester who didn't know how to keep the bottle I kept giving her to use.
Poison Ivy Delete is faster than The Shot!!! I was so impressed I became superwoman in the forest service I was dong. No longer afraid of poison ivy and excited to try the product every time, I became more daring. I'd go home after digging out honeysuckle all day crawling through the underbrush to get to it, clipping out and carrying away the vines of poison ivy as I found them, too....and instead of showering and changing my clothes, I would crash in the bed and wake up and take a Bath!!!
If you get poison ivy the way I used to, you would know that is a Dangerous Place. The bed and bath can spread it Everywhere. But I did not care. I had "the cure." I could just Relax after all that work and leisurely apply the Poison Ivy Delete when the itch was unbearable. And it would still be gone faster than a normal person would go get a shot and see it all dissolve.
Two things about that last paragraph. 1) Medicine Women learn never to say we have "the Cure." It is legal to say so only if it's been 7 years since the last occurrence. Folks, it's been almost that long. Since using Poison Ivy Delete (and maybe so often) I got less and less reactive to it. I now live in the forest. I'm not pulling honeysuckle ut every day anymore, but I am a wild-foraging sassafrass-loving (poison ivy protects the sassafras), ivy unbinding, unstoppable Steward, who has been highly allergic to poison ivy her whole life. I used to tell people I would get it just by walking within three feet of it. Now, I haven't had a case in years.
You may not have the same results. However, you will see quick and wonderful improvement to your cases of poison ivy with Poison Ivy Delete. I think you will find, as so man others have, that this is the BEST product you have ever found (or will ever) for eliminating the poison ivy on the skin and fabrics in your home.
Fels-Naptha is cool. People who Know to simply wash up with it before going inside after foresting roll their eyes about using any other product. BUT!! Poison Ivy Delete is both Easier and Portable. What if you didn't have to wait until you had a faucet to eliminate it? What if you could just spray a few sprays of this fancy bottle before you got in the car or pet the dogs? No lather, no water, no rinsing needed. AND you can carry it to the site you are working, unlike soap you wouldn't want with you on a summer day (especially if it's raining at any point).
Plus, most of us Don't. We just don't wash up. We don't do what we "should do" once we are worn out from a long day. We just Crash. But, if you have this Poison Ivy Delete in your backpack or dashboard, it's so easy to just spritz a couple sprays where you think you need it. ALSO it works on both skin and fabric. Do not spray your pets with it, tho. They may need Fels-Naptha.
Poison Ivy Delete byStarLight is a luxury product for a gutterpunk problem.
And it does smell minty fresh, which is helpful when you are sweaty hot and covered in burrs, ticks, seedheads, dirt, and bug bites, and poison ivy. It sanitizes your hands and cools your body temperature a couple degrees, literally, with its refrigerant effects.
Poison Ivy Delete
byStarLight carries 3 versions of this product depending on how much you need it and your skin type.
Full Strength is the Original formula. I encourage my, "get'r'done" crew to use this formula. Take accountability for noticing when you've had too much. Mostly I worry about skin getting too dry if it's already fragile, and nerves going wonky because you overdid the essential oil concentration in that area. Tere will be clear warning signs for each and the warning signs will come on slowly so, use this formula if you are willing to take accountability for your choice to use undiluted essential oils for faster results.
Noticing the Full Strength was drying my skin out and causing some slight nerve discomfort, I decided I should give people an option that was more gentle. I stopped getting poison ivy right around this time so the tests were less helpful.
Shelf life 1.5 years.
Gentle Formula is the same formula diluted by a third in Aloe Vera leaf as the carrier.
Shelf life 1 year
Family Sized is for people who know there will be more than four cases of poison ivy annually in the household and are on constant guard trying to keep everyone from getting infected when one person may be. One $10 spray bottle is only one or two cases of poison ivy treated. Family Sized comes with $10 spray vial which is refillable with the family-sized eurodropper bottle. As we all know, poison ivy is carried in fabric as well as on the skin, so doing laundry is a must. I got tired of buying commercial brand chemicals to wash my forestry clothes in. Once I developed this formula, I could throw 10-20 drops in the washing machine with my regular detergent (BioClean) instead. I want that for you. I want you to be able to spray your car seats down, to spray your purse where you have fumbled over and over before you got to the Poison Ivy Delete byStarLight and sprayed it to eliminate the problem. I look back over my life and consider that a hundred times I must have re-infected myself with my purse. now I can just spray it (once the electronics and food have been taken out). You can spray the couch where everyone plops as soon as they arrive from the river.
Shelf life 3 years
Keep the cap on this elegant spray bottle so that when you put it in your travel bag, it doesn't leak away. I have lost a phone over an essential oil purse leak in a forestry mission.
I often wait to spray until I'm itching like mad and the skin is breaking through. You don't have to do that. I also wait to apply SunBlock until I know I am burning. And Deodorant until I know I am stinky. I am picky about my products partially because I don't want to even apply them. So, if I am going to apply skin care products they better work, be compassionate, green, and luxurious fun. Eventually, I realized that means I need to make them myself and revolutionize the skin care industry.
The broken skin was only aided by the spray and I mention that because there are two types of people who will be using my spray and each need there own set of instructions. I will get to my punk friends soon. I am going to address my posh audience first.
For those who would rather never break out and will take all the preventative measures but still go to the forest because that's even more important (and thank you for that):
Put on your forest gear: covered arms, pair of gloves available for pulling invasives or moving a large fallen log somewhere smarter. Legs should have a pair of long skirts, pants, or at least a pair of thick tights. Sunglasses for pokey tree limbs at eye height. Hydrate! Your skin is most resilient hydrated. Wear Miracle Lotion or Green Lotion.
Notice: Poison Ivy loves sassafras and oak. The "leaves of 3" bit is ridiculous; please truly research and cross reference photos taken by botanists. Most importantly: It's mostly a big hairy vine. Grapevine looks just like it, but Poison Ivy is hairy.
When you return back to your car, before getting in, take off your outer layers and turn them inside out for the trunk or a plastic bag, if you can. Spray your hands and rub them together. spray your hands and upper writsts. Rub it in if prudent. kick off your shoe dust and spray the bottoms of your shoe. Spray your purse from about 6 inches above the opening to spray the handles, outside, and lips, plus a bit of where you rooted around in. When you get home, wash the clothes immediately in hot water with a detergent that dissolves poison ivy (you can purchase the family bottle and just use it for the laundry or car and save the aloe for your skin. Or dilute your own with aloe or wear or Mediterranean rose water.
You probably don't have poison ivy. Maybe never did. But now you can rest assured that you've done your best. If it still pops up, it may be a day to three days before you notice that it isn't just bug bites.
Spray the skin with the spray every four hours or until the arm feels cold or numb still in four hours and then wait for the cold to be gone for an hour. Respray your purse and clean it out to spray it on the inside better. Spray or wash your bedsheets, wash your pillow case twice and then spray it.
Punks:
Always KNOW WHERE Poison Ivy Delete byStarLight is. Keep it Safe.
Go have a riot in the woods. Do you. Be kind and steward a bit. Go home and do what you want.
If a rash is going to happen, it'll happen and you'll know about it. It'll get bigger and worse and then you'll know it's poison ivy.
If you live with other people allergic to poison ivy, it might be nice of you to take off your outer layers as soon as you can and wash them in hot water with some tea tree or (best) PoisonIvyDelete byStarLight in there with some harsh detergent for grease. Spray the driver seat/belt if you share that.
Itch as much as you are comfortable with and then spray it with Poison Ivy Delete. Spray any itch on your body down with this and sit back to enjoy the immense pleasure through the pain. Notice the cooling sensations dancing with the heat and eventually the juicy flood transitions into an icy dryness. You can reapply when it itches too bad again. However, if you are noticing strange nerve sensations, wait a couple hours, or even days, before using on that limb again.
Babies & Toddlers: Anyone with sensitive skin including infants and toddlers, should use the gentle formula. It does take a bit longer to work, but is the best option on the market. We've had great success with infants and toddlers and the moms have no complaints or worries after using the formula. They seem to respond very quickly, so three nights of use would be a long time for a child to get over the poison ivy rash even if it were bad.
Use a thick scarf to protect their face while Poison Ivy Delete is applied to their limbs. It's a minty aroma, and cooling mist that most people enjoy, but could sting their eyes if they are sensitive. We recommend simply going outside to a well vetnilated place where the predictable wind isn't blowing Delete into their face.
It will be most important for you to learn how to use the spray jar like an expert. You can cause a large section to be covered gently, by holding it farther from the body, but be more mindful of the area then. You can cause a small section of the body (like half a limb) by holding it close to the body to spray. After making a puddle by spraying close, it is possible to use the small half drops available on the nozzle to spot treat places closer to the face or other sensitive regions.
When you notice they are very annoyed with scratching is a good time to reach for Poison Ivy Delete byStarLight.
